Im Rahmen der Newbie Class lernst du gemeinsam mit anderen Anfänger*innen alle notwendigen Skating- und Roller-Derby-Skills von unseren Coaches. Was du mitbringen solltest\, sind Interesse an Teamsport\, Zeit und Motivation\, die Trainings zu besuchen\, dich im Team einzubringen und den Wunsch\, an Spielen teilzunehmen. \nDie Dust City Rollers treten gegen internationale und nationale Roller Derby Teams an und messen sich jedes Jahr mit allen anderen österreichischen Teams bei den Austrian Roller Derby Championships. Wir trainieren 3-mal pro Woche (Di\, Mi\, So) und treffen uns monatlich zu einem Plenum\, bei dem wir Organisatorisches besprechen und Team-Entscheidungen gemeinsam treffen. \n\n\nWir stehen für Feminismus und Antidiskriminierung und widersetzen uns dem binären Geschlechtersystem. We will provide the equipment\, you just have to tell us your clothes\, shoes and helmet sizes in your registration. \n\n\n\nTo become part of the Dust City Rollers\, you don’t need to have any previous experience in roller derby or on roller skates. As part of the Newbie Class you will learn all the necessary skating and roller derby skills from our coaches along with other beginners. What you need to bring is an interest in team sports\, time and motivation to attend practices and become involved in the team\, and a desire to play games. \nThe Dust City Rollers compete against international and national roller derby teams and take part in the Austrian Roller Derby Championships every year. DESCRIPTION:Have you ever wanted to try roller derby? Our newbie days on September 10th and October 18th are your chance! \n– you need to be at least 18 years old\n– women* and non-binary people can join us as skaters\, refs or NSOs (non-skating officials)\n– men who are interested to become refs or NSOs are welcome too \nIf you’re interested\, send us a message before September 5th to info@dustcityrollers.com or via the contact form and tell us your shoe and clothing size (because of the protection gear). \nWe will provide our skates and equipment\, but if you happen to own a helmet or knee- and elbow-pads or wrist guards\, please bring them along. \nWe can’t wait to meet you! \n  \nCovid-19 info: Due to the current situation\, we adhere to safety measures. During the newbie days\, we will keep distance to other people in the room. The gear will be disinfected beforehand. There will be no bodily contact with other skaters or trainers. Disinfectant will be available. If you have any questions or concerns\, please get in contact!
