DESCRIPTION:Wir sind die Dust City Rollers\, das Grazer Roller Derby Team\, und sind auf der Suche nach neuen Skater*innen für unsere Newbie Class! \nBeim Newbie Day am 11. Oktober 2026 von 16 – 19 Uhr zeigen wir dir die Basics des Roller Derby und stellen dir unser Team sowie unser Vereinsleben vor. Die Ausrüstung stellen wir zur Verfügung\, du musst uns in deiner Anmeldung nur Kleider-\, Schuh- und Helmgröße bekanntgeben. \nUm Teil der Dust City Rollers zu werden\, musst du keine Vorkenntnisse im Roller Derby oder auf Rollschuhen mitbringen. Im Rahmen der Newbie Class lernst du gemeinsam mit anderen Anfänger*innen alle notwendigen Skating- und Roller-Derby-Skills von unseren Coaches. Was du mitbringen solltest\, sind Interesse an Teamsport\, Zeit und Motivation\, die Trainings zu besuchen\, dich im Team einzubringen und den Wunsch\, an Spielen teilzunehmen. \nDie Newbie Class beginnt am 15. November 2026 und dauert 16 Wochen! Dort lernst du alle basic Roller Derby- und Rollschuh-Skills\, die dich für den Track vorbereiten. \nDie Dust City Rollers stehen für Feminismus und Antidiskriminierung und widersetzen sich dem binären Geschlechtersystem. Als Sportteam ist es uns wichtig\, stets solidarisch miteinander zu sein und ein gutes Umfeld für Roller Derby\, den besten Sport der Welt\, zu kreieren. \nAlle Personen\, die Ausgrenzung oder Diskriminierung auf Basis ihres Geschlechts erfahren (bspw. Frauen – cis\, trans\, inter -\, nichtbinäre und trans masc Personen) ab 18 Jahren sind herzlich als Skater*innen willkommen! \nWenn du dich gerne auf andere Weise im Team einbringen möchtest\, ist das sowohl On- als auch Off-Skates möglich. Die Dust City Rollers haben eine eigene all gender Officials Crew\, die sich immer über neue Mitglieder freut. Wenn du dich für die Rolle des Referees oder Non-Skating Officials interessierst\, dann melde dich auch gerne für den Newbie Day an. \nWenn du Roller Derby ausprobieren und das Team kennenlernen möchtest\, dann melde dich bis zum 5. What you need to bring is an interest in team sports\, time and motivation to attend practices and become involved in the team\, and a desire to play games. \nThe Newbie Class starts on 15 November 2026 and lasts 16 weeks. It covers all the basic skills of roller skating and roller derby to make you ready for the track! \nWe stand for feminism and anti-discrimination and oppose the binary gender system. Yeti will teach a clinic on 7 November 2026 from 14:30 – 18:30 (Get in 14:00) and you can expect amazing drills from an incredible skater and coach.
